The Film Agency for Wales is the sole Agency for film in Wales, with a remit to ensure that the economic, cultural and educational aspects of film are effectively represented in Wales, the UK and the world.

Established in July 2006 as a strategic agency, the Film Agency aims to facilitate the emergence of a viable and sustainable Welsh film industry and to promote a vibrant and dynamic film culture.

Richard Booth’s Bookshop in picturesque Hay-on-Wye will host three days of talent labs for directors and writers, film finance meetings, workshops on book-to-film adaptations, talent surgeries, script readings and masterclasses. The event will also feature screenings of Lenny Abrahamson’s new film Frank, starring Michael Fassbender, in the bookshop’s beautiful boutique cinema.
