An Invitation to apply for the Clore Leadership Programme
We are pleased to announce that from Monday 8 January 2007 onwards we are inviting any UK applications for the 2007/8 Fellowships on the Clore Leadership Programme.
The Programme is designed to help develop the knowledge, skills, networks and experience of potential leaders across a wide range of cultural activity.
Each Fellow will have an individually tailored programme, lasting a year or longer, and starting in September 2007. This will include:
- Two intensive residential leadership courses
- Professional development through mentoring, tuition and group learning
- Time for reflection, research and debate
- A period of secondment, including experience of managing a challenging Project.
Any individual can apply from the cultural sector and beyond. You should normally have had a total of at least 5 years work experience, either in employment, self employed or freelance. There is no upper age limit. To be eligible for the funded Fellowships you must be living in the EU.
The money available to you varies depending on your current work status. If you undertake the Fellowship full time you will normally be eligible for a scholarship of £20,000.
If you decide to remain in employment during the fellowship we will discuss with your employer the level of compensation we will pay to them to cover the periods while you are away during the year.
Some organizations may want to consider sponsoring all or part of the Fellowship, and we will welcome self-funded applications as well as the main programme of Fellowships that are already funded. In addition, for funded Fellowes, we will pay the direct costs associated with the programme, including tuition fees and accommodation for residential courses.
Whatever the financial arrangements, we will consider your application on merit, not on your ability to pay.
